On the 21st our
friends’ helper family caught a big bird. They brought it over in a kennel to
show us. Everyone can’t decide if it is
a Golden Eagle or a Black Eared Kite. It
is about as tall as two big peanut butter jars!
Our Kazakh friends have to keep it in their yurt so it does not freeze or
get stolen. It is so cool!!

So, has anyone figured out what type of bird your neighbors have? What a great picture! Do the people in your area hunt with both types of raptors?
